The former Charleston Chew Factory in Everett, MA is set to become luxury apartments. Post Road Residential obtained $68 million for the development from First Niagara and will include studio, one, two, and three bedroom apartments.
The construction of the old factory will be one of three residential buildings that will be called Batch Yard and will feature 328 units.
Boston Business Journal states, “Residents will have access to a five-level parking garage as well as a roof-top deck, swimming pool, on-site gymnasium, and community rooms. Rents start at $1,700 for studios and as high as $4,000 for a three bed.”
The Factory has been vacant since the 80s and the founder of Post Road Residential, Andy Montelli states, “We’re pleased that First Niagara shares our vision for this project, which is to create a community which will bring new energy to this Everett neighborhood while responding to the growing need for housing within convenient commuting distance to downtown Boston.”
